After nearly twenty hours of travel (thanks to delays) we stepped through customs exhausted to our hungry, sleep deprived cores. But when we saw Chris and Laura (founders of the Stephen Center, and the people who we’ll be trained by and working alongside) greeting us with enthusiastic waves and smiles, our exhaustion was replaced with exhilaration. We’re here.
The next ten days would be full of traveling, friend-making, work-discussing, move-planning, budget-ironing, eating, exploring, and thoroughly enjoying this country that will be our home by this time next year. We met wonderful Albanians who welcomed us and doted on our son. We met other foreign missionaries who know exactly what it’s like to adjust to another culture and will no doubt be wonderful resources and support for us when we move.
